are weighing up a move for £25million-rated Blackburn youngster Adam Wharton, with Crystal Palace also still pursuing a deal for the midfielder.

Wharton has enjoyed a breakthrough season at the Championship club this season, notching up two goals and three assists in the league so far.

The 19-year-old played against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup earlier in the season and the Blues sporting director Paul Winstanley has been to see the Under-20 international in action recently.
