Ancelotti’s current contract at Real expires in 2024 but has been linked with a number of other jobs.
The legendary Italian spent two years in charge at Chelsea between 2009 and 2011, winning a Premier League and FA Cup double in his first season in charge.
Chelsea legend Drogba was part of the team for coverage of Real’s victory on Tuesday night and asked his former boss what changes he would make if he were to return to west London.
Ancelotti diplomatically replied: ‘With all due respect to Chelsea, I cannot answer that question. I am the coach of Real Madrid, and I feel very comfortable here.
‘For years everything has been going well with this club, and I intend to stay there for a long time.’
Another former Chelsea star Joe Cole also raised the prospect of Ancelotti returning to the club for a second spell, believing he has the tools to come in and ‘rebuild’ after a dismal 2022-23 campaign for the club.
‘I love Carlo,’ said Cole. ‘He was actually one I thought could be on the list to come back here. If you ever want a manager to soothe a club and to just rebuild it…he might fancy the challenge.’
Chelsea will end the season without a trophy with the club in a desperate scrap to just secure a top ten finish in the Premier League, currently languishing in 11th, three points behind neighbours Fulham.
The Blues are next in action against Brentford next Wednesday before a trip to league leaders Arsenal on 2 May.
