Santos wonderkid Deivid Washington will undergo a medical at in the next couple of days before completing a £17million move to the club.
The Brazilian club accepted a £17m bid from the Blues earlier this week, with Chelsea beating a host of top European clubs to the striker’s signature.
The 18-year-old will become Chelsea’s second signing from Santos this summer following the purchase of winger Angelo.
And Washington is due in in the next couple of days to undergo a medical at the club before signing a five-year deal.
The contract will have the option of a 12-month extension, taking the teenager to his 25th birthday at the club.
Chelsea hope to complete the signing of Leeds United ace Tyler Adams after triggering a £20m release clause in the American’s contract.
The Blues will then look to beat Liverpool to the signature of Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.
Chelsea will accept bids in the region of £40m for Conor Gallagher and the England ace is likely to want to leave given the level of competition in midfield.
The Blues have sanctioned around £250m worth of departures already this summer, including Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz.
