Christian Eriksen rates new Manchester United team-mate Mason Mount

has praised ’s summer move for and feels the Englishman can help the Red Devils land more trophies.

United won the Carabao Cup last term in ’s first season as manager and are targeting more silverware when the 2023-24 campaign gets underway.

Mount is a player who has played in big finals and helped win the Champions League in 2021, assisting Kai Havertz for the only goal in a 1-0 win over Manchester City as the Blues lifted the trophy for the second time ever.

Mount came through Chelsea’s academy – but following a contract dispute with the Blues – he swapped west London for Old Trafford this summer.

The 24-year-old signed a five-year deal with the option of a further 12 months at the start of July after 

Eriksen has now shared his thoughts on United’s move for the midfielder and has spoken about his first few weeks as a Red Devil.

‘I think he’s been taken very good care of,’ Eriksen told the United when asked about Mount.

‘I think he’s felt at home. I think, already, he doesn’t seem like he’s that new. I think he mingles in very well and fits in and is playing well.

‘I mean I think everyone knows his qualities and he’s definitely a player that will add to our team in a very positive way.

‘I definitely hope he will bring that [experience] and I’m sure he will. Like you said, he’s been in finals and he’s won them. So that’s what you want to be as a footballer. Now the aim is he can win something with us as well.’
