, and PSG transfer target Christopher Nkunku has not ruled out a summer transfer but claims that he is happy to stay at RB Leipzig.
The forward has enjoyed the best campaign of his career so far, scoring 35 and assisting 20 in all competitions, whilst also being named Bundesliga Player of the Season ahead of the likes of Robert Lewandowski and .
This form has seen the 24-year-old linked with a big money move away from Germany with Chelsea and United especially keen, while Nkunku’s boyhood club PSG are also in the race.
Nkunku, currently on international duty with France, was asked about the speculation linking him with a return to the Parc des Princes and admitted he was open to anything.
‘Paris, I’ve always said it, it’s my home, my heart club,’ the forward said at a press conference ahead of France’s Nations League match with Denmark.
‘I don’t close any doors. Everything is possible in football.
‘It’s flattering to have the biggest clubs in the world interested in me. But it’s also flattering that Leipzig is doing everything to keep me.
‘We are in June, and I am focused on this gathering.’
It is unknown how much Nkunku could cost, but reports suggest that Leipzig will listen to offers of around £60million.
Chelsea and United may be wary of signing the prolific forward, as previous transfers of Bundesliga attackers haven’t been that impactful for the two clubs, with Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Jadon Sancho enduring underwhelming starts to their careers in the Premier League.
PSG may have a special place in Nkunku’s heart, but a move there is far from guaranteed with the club already stacked with quality forwards such as Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.
