The Reds have brought in the 22-year-old from RB Leipzig in a £60m move, making him their second major signing of the summer after from Brighton.

The Hungarian has caught the eye in the Bundesliga and for his country, but it will be an entirely new challenge for him in the Premier League.

However, Giovanni Costantino, the Italian who has previously been assistant manager with Hungary, can only see Szoboszlai succeeding at Anfield, and quickly.

‘Look, I don’t believe people who say “Dominik will need some time to adjust to the “,’ he said. ‘I think he will have an impact from the beginning.

‘His mentality to take the number eight is a big responsibility and he’s not scared of responsibility so he just needs the support of the fans who are unbelievable.

‘I am sure the fans will like him from the beginning because he’s the kind of player that makes the fans happy with his play style.’

‘He’s ready, he’s just ready.’

Jurgen Klopp admits that the attacking midfielder has some developing to do, but says the signing is for the present and the future of Liverpool.

‘From the clubs he has been at, the leagues he has played in and the family he is part of, it is very clear that he has already had an outstanding football education, so our responsibility now is to continue this education with him as part of the Liverpool family,’ said the Reds boss.

‘Everything about this is good news and I am very grateful to everyone at the club who has contributed to making it happen. This is a signing for our present and also for our future and the work that has gone into it could not be more appreciated.’
