Eddie Nketiah could leave if gets his wish of signing a new centre forward in January.
The forward signed a new long-term deal with the Gunners in 2022, when he was handed the legendary no.14 shirt.
Nketiah has battled Gabriel Jesus for a starting spot this term and he stated his case for a start over the Brazilian with a hat-trick against Sheffield United on Saturday.
However, Mikel Arteta remains keen on signing a new centre forward as he feels Jesus and Nketiah are both too goal-shy.
Ivan Toney, the Brentford striker, has been identified as a target but the Bees are seeking around £80m for the former Newcastle ace.
Nketiah was given no guarantee over playing time when he signed his new deal but he’s proven himself to be a capable deputy to Jesus.

The say the striker would not be short of suitors within the Premier League, and Arsenal could fetch a similar fee to the £40m they raised through the sale of Folarin Balogun.
