appears to be finished at the top level of football at 32 years old and is considering a move to little-known Belgian side RWD Molenbeek.

The hero had a disastrous spell with after signing for the Spanish giants in 2019 for an initial £88.5m.

In four seasons in Spain he made just 76 appearances and scored a meagre seven goals, which has left his options limited after leaving Los Blancos.

report that Hazard has three realistic choices in front of him, one of which is to return to his home country with the obscure Molenbeek.

It may not be a popular side, but it is not a random one, as one of Hazard’s younger brother, Kylian plays for Molenbeek and they have just been promoted to the Belgian Pro League after winning the Challenger Pro League in May.

Despite his forgettable few years and fitness woes, the man with 126 caps for Belgium would be a huge signing for the club a fraction of the size he has got used to playing for.

The L’Equipe report suggests that retirement may actually be his most likely next move, although if an offer from a Major League Soccer side came in, then he could be tempted to make the switch to the States.

Hazard actually had another season to run on his contract with Real Madrid but an agreement was reached for him to leave this summer.

‘Real Madrid and Eden Hazard have reached an agreement whereby the player will leave the club as of June 30, 2023,’ a statement from the club confirmed.

‘Eden Hazard has been part of our club for four seasons, during which time he has won eight titles: one European Cup, one Club World Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, two LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.

‘Real Madrid would like to express our affection to Eden Hazard and we wish him and his family the best of luck for the next stage of his career.’
