is hopeful that Christian Eriksen, Luke Shaw and could be available after injury when play on Sunday.
The Red Devils have been dealing with a long list of injuries of late, while illness has also struck the squad and a string of players have been out.
Ten Hag still fielded a pretty strong side in the FA Cup third round clash at League One Wigan Athletic on Monday night, with goals from Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes securing a 2-0 win.
The competition will be a lot tougher on Sunday when Spurs visit Old Trafford in the Premier League, but Ten Hag hopes to have reinforcements back at his disposal.
‘Some injuries are returning,’ the Dutchman said in the post-match press conference at Wigan. ‘I think there will be some players.
‘It’s hopeful that they can be back for the weekend, I’m talking about , potentially . Harry [Maguire] maybe, Mason [Mount] I think he needs some days or a week more.’
Mount has had a woeful time of things since moving to Manchester United from Chelsea in the summer, making just eight Premier League appearances, only four of which have been in the starting XI.
He has been dealing with a calf problem and will hope for more first team chances when he returns later in the month.
‌The likes of Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro remain sidelined and Ten Had admits he has been suppressing his frustration over the injury struggles.
‘It is [frustrating],’ he admitted. ‘But I don’t want to be frustrated, because I can do nothing for it, it will not help to support the team.
‘We have to get the best performance and results with the players that are available and that’s what we’re trying to do.’
Victor Lindelof and Tyrell Malacia are also expected to return soon, but Ten Hag did not mention their progress.
Anthony Martial has been suffering with illness, while Amad Diallo also missed the trip to Wigan through illness so both will be back sooner rather than later.
