boss has received a major boost with three key players returning to training ahead of the club’s big clash against .

Ten Hag’s side has been beset with injuries over the festive period, with several important players dealing with long-term injuries.

However, as United gear up for a huge game against top-four rivals Tottenham, the Dutchman was able to reveal some positive news regarding three key players who are now available for selection.

‘We have had a lot of injuries but the last couple of days we have had training, Casemiro training, Luke Shaw training, so there are players returning and they are coming in for selection for Sunday,’ Ten Hag revealed.

United eased past League One side Wigan in the FA Cup third round on Monday but were without Antony, Christian Eriksen and Amad Diallo.

All three, though, are also in line to return to the Red Devils squad for the weekend, Ten Hag confirmed.

‘Eriksen was ill in the week, he will return. Antony will return. Amad will return, he said.

‘We have more choice in this moment in the squad to put out a starting XI and create a bench that is stronger.’

A number of key players still remain unavailable for United, while Ten Hag was also keen to not ramp up expectations on those returning from lengthy layoffs.

‘Mason Mount will return but take a little longer, Tyrell Malacia will return as well, Victor Lindelof is also on his way back but it will take some weeks and takes time to get back into match fitness,’ he added.

‘I’m not sure the word is relief, first it has to happen they are back but it is positive they are back on the training ground and that they go back to the team and then to 100% match fitness.’

United will hope to get back to winning ways in the league on Sunday having won just one of their last five in the Premier League.
