is determined to retain his influence over ’s biggest transfer decisions once completes his minority takeover at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman joined United from Ajax in May 2022. United’s current structure sees both the manager and recruitment department given a veto on transfers, with potential new signings needing to be approved by both parties.

That power to veto is written into ten Hag’s contract, according to the report, with the manager expecting it to be honoured under the new regime.

Summer signings Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund have also come under scrutiny while Ratciffe is thought to have specifically questioned the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid in 2022.

‘I look forward [to it],’ Ten Hag said after the deal was announced.

‘They want to work with me, I want to work with them, we will have the conversations, the meetings. We will see.

‘I think it’s a good thing, it’s very positive. We are looking forward to working together. INEOS wants to work with me in this structure and I want to work with them.’
