Frenkie de Jong and his agent are said to be furious with ahead of more crunch talks this week.

The report says there is ‘great anger’ among the two with how Barcelona are handling de Jong’s future, frustrated with how news of negotiations with United has been L***ed in recent weeks.

De Jong and his agent were also angered when details of the 25-year-old’s contract appeared in the Spanish press. Sport last week revealed the staggering numbers behind his current deal, with de Jong also owed £17m in deferred wages.

During this week’s meeting, Barcelona will ask de Jong to take a significant salary reduction, with the former Ajax star sent to bank €21million next season under his current terms. If de Jong does not accept the proposal, Barcelona will sanction his exit.

De Jong has previously stated his is happy to stay at his ‘dream club’ with Marca claiming his preference as it stands is to stay at the Camp Nou.
