Gabriel Jesus should be fit and available for Arsenal’s Premier League trip to Leeds on Sunday, but Oleksandr Zinchenko remains a doubt after missing the last two matches.

Jesus was left out of the squad for the visit to Norway on Thursday, where the Gunners beat Bodo/Glimt 1-0 thanks to a Bukayo Saka goal.

The Brazilian was not nursing a specific injury, but rested after taking a few heavy hits in a physical battle with Liverpool the previous weekend, which Arsenal emerged from with a 3-2 victory.

With five goals in his first nine Premier League games for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta will be very keen to return Jesus to the starting XI and almost certainly will do so at Elland Road.

Zinchenko’s immediate future is less clear, with the other summer arrival from Manchester City nursing a muscle injury that has kept him out since the win over Tottenham at the start of the month.

The 25-year-old has only managed five Premier League appearances so far this campaign so fitness has been an issue and he may not be risked against Leeds with Arteta having other options at his disposal.

Kieran Tierney is the obvious choice at left-back, while Takehiro Tomiyasu was chosen ahead of him against Liverpool and Cedric Soares is also available to fill in.

Definitely out for Arsenal are Emile Smith Rowe and Mohamed Elneny who are not expected back any time soon.

It will be a busy few days for the likes of Saka, Martin Odegaard, William Saliba and Ben White who all started in Norway on Thursday and will likely start in West Yorkshire at the weekend.

Gabriel Martinelli, Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey, Gabriel and Aaron Ramsdale were on the bench for the midweek win and should return to the starting XI.
