Gabriel Jesus ruled out until December in major injury blow for Arsenal

have suffered a major injury blow with striker ruled out until December, according to reports.

It was and could have featured in Saturday’s upcoming clash against .

But in a twist, Jesus’ camp are now targeting a return to fitness for the beginning of December, according to , after he missed the 5-0 win over Sheffield United last time out and tonight’s Carabao Cup fixture against West Ham.

The Brazilian is set to miss the match at Newcastle this weekend as well as a home game against Burnley and a trip to Brentford in the top-flight.

Jesus will also likely be absent from Arsenal’s Champions League fixtures against Sevilla and RC Lens at the Emirates.

The 26-year-old has been in fine form in the Champions League this season, scoring three goals across three appearances.

Jesus is set to make his return when Arsenal host Wolves in the Premier League on December 2.

In his absence, Eddie Nketiah is likely to keep his place in the XI, four days ago.

Nketiah, though, if Mikel Arteta gets his wish of signing a new centre forward.

Ivan Toney, the Brentford striker, has been identified as a target – for the north Londoners.
