legend Gary Neville blasted for his ‘really poor’ mistake in Arsenal’s devastating 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners’ title challenge was effectively ended after Brighton ran out deserved winners at the Emirates.
The loss leaves Arsenal four points behind , with just two games to play.
Though Brighton played Arsenal off the park, Mikel Arteta was still unhappy with the nature of the goals his side conceded.
Julio Enciso scored the opener while Jakub Kiwior laid on the ground, while Leandro Trossard was caught in possession for the second.
The third came when Ramsdale parried a tame shot back into play for Pervis Estupinan to slot home.
And Neville was critical of the England stopper’s efforts to keep out the shot.
‘By this time Arsenal were being toyed with, they were absolutely being messed with by Brighton, who were sensational,’ Neville told Sky Sports.
‘I thought it was really poor from the goalkeeper. That’s a soft shot, he either needs to catch it or punch it out wide for a throw.
‘You can’t push that back to an opponent. The goalkeeper needs to go a lot better than that.’
Though Arteta didn’t give up hope on the title after the loss, Arsenal need a minor miracle to end their 19-year title wait.
Even if the Gunners beat Nottingham Forest next Saturday, City can win the title by beating Chelsea at the Etihad the following day.
