Glen Johnson has tipped to leave Tottenham this summer amid speculation linking the Spurs striker with a move to .
It appeared as if Kane was heading towards the exit door at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the beginning of the current campaign, but he ended up remaining at the north club.
With the 28-year-old hitting top form in recent months, rumours surrounding his future have once again re-emerged.
Over the international break, Kane went level with Sir Bobby Charlton on 49 goals for England – just four behind all-time leading scorer .
In terms of his future at club level, Johnson feels the striker will depart from Spurs, but isn’t sure whether he will end up at Old Trafford.
‘I don’t know where he’ll end up but I can’t help but feel it’ll be this summer or never that he leaves Spurs for that big move,’ former Liverpool defender Johnson told .
‘He’s found some form again and when he’s on form he’s one of the best for sure.
‘Whether he ends up at United, I’m not sure but my instinct is that he will not be at Tottenham next season.’
Regarding the trophies Kane – who is yet to win major silverware in his career – could possibly win if he joined the Red Devils, Johnson said: ‘I think there are many many clubs out in front of them [United] at the moment.
‘Of course, they’re capable of winning something domestically, but in terms of world football, no. You don’t go to a club like United to only win the Carabao Cup. So no, I think United are miles off winning the top trophies at the moment.’
