defender says he has no ill feeling towards boss after his loan spell at the club was cut short.
The Spaniard moved to Old Trafford on a season-long loan deal last August after Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia were sidelined with long-term injuries.
Reguilon impressed during 2023, making 17 appearances for the Red Devils.
However, United decided after Shaw’s return to fitness in January to cut short Reguilon’s loan deal.
The 27-year-old returned to Tottenham, before signing a loan deal with Brentford until the end of the season.
Shaw is now sidelined for the rest of the season, while Malacia is yet to return to fitness.
But, while United are likely regretting their decision on Reguilon, the defender says he has nothing but good memories of the club.
‘You can’t control this. I told the manager thanks for everything,’ he told the Times.
‘When I remember Manchester it will be with a smile on my face. I hope they can win the . I still support them. It was a difficult moment in my life and they gave me the love.’
Reguilon won supporters over with his passionate displays.
And the Brentford ace has revealed that he was in tears in the dressing room after United’s 3-0 defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup in October.
‘We were defending the title and we were out,’ said Reguilon.
‘I don’t care if I am here for six months, I was upset. I don’t know how long I was crying like a kid. Bruno [Fernandes] comes to tell me to relax and I still have the same shit face.
‘It’s good and it’s bad. Maybe I am too passionate, too emotional in some moments but I can’t control.’
