Sancho’s immediate future is uncertain. His time at Manchester United looks to be up just three years on from his £73million move although the club are still to make a final decision over his future.
Dortmund meanwhile could struggle to pay up for the Londoner on a permanent deal this summer.
Speaking after his side’s 2-0 defeat at Wembley, Dortmund boss Terzic heaped praise on Sancho, insisting the 24-year-old has had a transformative effect on his squad since his arrival in January, predicting he will be back on the biggest stage very soon.
‘I think the last six months, Jadon has been brilliant for us,’ Terzic told a post-match press conference.
‘It took some time to get back into shape but you can feel this quality and his skills, he’s going to improve our game straight away. He didn’t improve just his game but all the players around him.
‘He is a player who has never thought about his first touch, it is so natural, and he is very gifted.
‘I didn’t speak about the future because we have been talking about the present and the present has been playing in the Champions League final in his hometown, a very special moment for him.
‘I’m really happy he is with us and I think you can feel the joy he receives in the dressing room and the jot he brings to the dressing room and I’m very happy to work with Jadon.
‘We don’t know yet what the future will bring but for sure it is going to bring him another Champions League final.’
