Match of the Day trio , Gary Lineker and Danny Murphy returned a unanimous decision on which team will finish fourth in the Premier League this season: Tottenham Hotspur.

Saturday was a superb day for Spurs as they thrashed 4-0, while Arsenal were beaten at home by Brighton and were downed at .

Things got even better for Antonio Conte’s men on Sunday when West Ham were beaten at Brentford, but even before that it was Spurs who the three pundits were backing to make it into next season’s Champions League.

Asked for his tip for fourth place, Wright said on Match of the Day: ‘Tottenham, I think. Especially when you look at the way they can score. are not scoring.’

Murphy chimed in with: ‘It’s the goals isn’t it. It’s the quality in the final third. I agree.’

Lineker rounded off the brief discussion by concurring: ‘Full house then.’

Spurs are in fourth place, three ponts ahead of Arsenal, who do have a game in hand but with a significantly worse goal difference.

West Ham and Manchester United now look realistically out of the race, but Conte will not be worrying about other teams, just focusing on his own side.

‘We have to look to ourselves, I say this to my players. A strong team does not depend on others. We look at ourselves,’ said Conte after the 4-0 win at Villa on Saturday.

‘We need to understand the moment to kill your opponent, today was an important moment because of other results. It was good for us. It was good because we won, if you don’t win then it’s not useful to look at other team’s results.’
