Inter Milan are eying a January move for striker Armando Broja, according to reports.

The Albania international, who came through Chelsea’s academy, recently took ’s spot in the starting XI after the star’s suspension.

Broja has only just returned from a long injury and was handed a start against west rivals Fulham last week as he registered a goal .

He was rewarded with a start in Chelsea’s next game, a 4-1 win at Burnley, but only lasted 45 minutes as he was hauled off following a poor performance.

Broja hardly had a kick at Turf Moor and was slowing play down as Mauricio Pochettino decided to replace him with Jackson, who went on to score instead.

According to Italian outlet , Serie A giants Inter are considering a swoop for Broja in January, and are convinced Chelsea can be tempted in a deal if the 22-year-old continues to struggle with ‘continuity’.

They claim that a loan deal could work for both clubs and that the relationship between Chelsea and Inter remains strong .

Inter have admired Broja for a long time and were keeping tabs on his season-long loan at Vitesse in 2020-21, where he scored 11 goals in 34 games.

Pochettino lauded Broja last week as the Chelsea head coach said: ‘When you start to feel the player in a training session, you can feel the potential. Broja has amazing potential, now it’s about how he recovers from the long period he was out.

‘He is a very talented player, we trust him. Now he needs time, to feel complete. In his body, if not in his mind also. Sometimes a long injury also impacts your mind. He is in a very good mood, a very good way, he is working really hard and I hope he can improve in the next few weeks and be a player that we really trust.’
