believes the blame for ’s meagre January transfer budget should be laid at ’s door.

United endured a painful end to the year in the , with the Red Devils suffering four defeats and winning just twice.

That run included disappointing defeats to Bournemouth, West Ham and Nottingham Forest which has seen Ten Hag’s side drop to eighth, nine points off the top four.

United have yet to bring in any new faces after nearly a fortnight of the January transfer window.

United have seen two loan departures – Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek – which could allow for some incomings but Carragher believes it’s the Dutchman who should be blamed if the Red Devils haven’t got the funds to work with this month.
