Joshua Kimmich says Julian Nagelsmann is in his top three coaches as prepare to appoint as their new head coach.
Nagelsmann is currently in his second season with Bayern and guided the club to success in the Bundesliga last year.
However, the German club’s hierarchy are unhappy with the club’s performances this season as they sit a point behind in the Bundesliga.

But Kimmich was keen to pay tribute to Nagelsmann during his press conference with the German national side on Friday.
‘I can only say that Julian is an outstanding coach,’ Kimmich said.
‘I’ve had many coaches in my career and he is easily in the top three.
‘But I cannot say anything on this issue and please respect it. Obviously it is understandable that it is a hot issue at the moment but the club have not confirmed anything.’
Meanwhile, Germany head coach, Hansi Flick, who won seven major titles during his two-year stint as Bayern manager said: ‘We were very surprised by the headlines but until now Bayern have not said anything on the matter.
‘I will not comment on it also as a sign of respect for Julian.’
