Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury in training, while goalkeeper is also struggling with fitness, confirms manager .
Jota did not play in the friendly against on Tuesday due to an injury from last season, and when he returned to training on Wednesday he suffered another problem.
Klopp is not sure how long the forward will be out for, but it sounds concerning for the 25-year-old.
‘So, Diogo is unlucky,’ said Klopp at a press conference in Singapore. ‘Diogo was not involved [against United] because of an injury he got at the end of his season.
‘He trained yesterday fully and got injured again, so that’s really not cool but we have to wait for the results. He had further assessment this morning so we have to see.’
Asked if it is his hamstring that is the problem, Klopp added: ‘We will see. The same region, yes.’
Alisson is also not fully fit, although Klopp was not particularly clear on the problem the Brazilian is suffering.
‘Ali was not 100 per cent, he finished the session earlier, was doing the warming up and felt something so now there we have to wait as well,’ said the German.
‘I think pretty much all the others are fine, so that’s it.’
The Reds are back in friendly action against Crystal Palace in Singapore on Friday, with more friendlies to come against RB Leipzig, Salzburg and Strasbourg before the start of the Premier League season.
