The young stars snubbed the chance to move to Anfield, instead joining rivals for a combined fee of £173milllion.
Liverpool had also been hoping to sign Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham but were priced out of a move for both, with the England stars moving to Arsenal and Real Madrid instead.
As such, Endo appears to be a very underwhelming signing for the club, at least compared to who they were linked with, and as such some fans are not too happy with business being done.
But Klopp insists his new No.3 is extremely talented and a perfect fit for his team, telling LFCTV: ‘I’m really happy. Wataru is a really good player.
‘I know in this world of football how it goes and stuff like this, but have a look, have a look, because he’s a really good player.
‘Experienced player, captain of Stuttgart, captain of Japan, speaks good English, nice fella, family man, machine on the pitch, good footballer on top of that, sensational attitude.
‘So, I’m really happy. He’s a good footballer, very experienced and loves to work extremely hard.’
Klopp was desperate to sign a defensive midfielder and a player with leadership skills following the departures of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and James Milner this summer.
