Karim Adeyemi is unconvinced over a move to following their approach to sign the winger, according to reports.
The 22-year-old endured a mixed campaign for Dortmund last season, scoring just five goals in 34 appearances, while he started on the left wing in his side’s defeat to Real Madrid in the final.
His performances have alerted the interest of Chelsea, who have reportedly made an approach to Adeyemi’s representatives to discuss a potential switch to Stamford Bridge.
However, reports that Adeyemi is ‘unreceptive’ about the prospect of joining Chelsea this summer.
The report adds that the winger is keen to keep playing in the Champions League – something which Chelsea are unable to offer next season.
Adeyemi scored the winning goal against Chelsea in the first leg of a knockout tie in February last year and Jude Bellingham praised his Dortmund teammate after the match.
‘We are really confident when he gets the ball one on one,’ said Bellingham .
‘Not many players can stop him. He had a tough time coming here at the start, finding his feet, and now he’s flying.’
Chelsea have already made five signings this summer with Tosin Adarabioyo, who joined from Fulham last month on a free transfer, Marc Guiu, who cost £5m from Barcelona, Omari Kellyman, who arrived in a £19m deal from Aston Villa, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, .
Chelsea have also agreed a deal with Brazilian side Palmeiras to sign their highly rated 17-year-old winger Estevao Willian. He will make the move to Stamford Bridge next summer after he has turned 18.
