Kim Min-Jae’s entourage have denied that an agreement is in place with Manchester United.
The South Korea international has played a key role in Napoli’s Serie A success this season and has attracted interest from several clubs ahead of the summer window.
Reports in Italy have claimed that United are in the driving seat to sign the 26-year-old .
But a member of Kim’s entourage told : ‘It’s not true that a deal is closed with .
‘Kim is focused on the end of the season and then we still don’t know which English teams will qualify for the . There is no hurry for the future.
‘United have been interested in him since he was in China, but we have always and only chatted. I repeat… there has been no contact.’
It’s understood that Kim has a release clause in his deal with Napoli which is active between July 1 to July 15 and would allow him to leave for €50 million (£43.3m).
Meanwhile, former Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro says he was confident Kim would be a success for Napoli.
‘Kim did not surprise me, I played against him in China and the experience in Turkey has made him stronger,’ Cannavaro told Radio Crc.
‘I hope he stays even if I know many clubs have set their sights on him.’
