Lautaro Martinez reportedly has no interest in leaving Inter Milan, as the striker continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League.
and Tottenham have been heavily linked with the 24-year-old since last year, while are also said to have joined the race for the prolific forward.
Martinez has scored 70 goals for Inter since 2018, helping the club to their first Serie A title in 11 years last season, as well as winning the Copa America with Argentina last summer.
However, the player’s agent, Alejandro Camano, has insisted that his client has no desire to leave Italy.
‘Sometimes the press talks about his possible transfer, but he only thinks of Inter,’ he told Radio Cologne.
‘We’re not looking for a negotiation to take him elsewhere. He’s happy at Inter, the city is wonderful. He’s only focusing on Inter.
‘Lautaro is growing as a footballer. Let’s not forget that he is still 24 years old. He is already establishing himself as one of the best strikers on the international scene.
‘A new generation of forwards is appearing, of which Lautaro is a part.’
Martinez nearly left the San Siro last summer with Inter needing to sell players after the financial hit caused by the pandemic, but instead his strike-partner Romelu Lukaku departed for Chelsea in a record-breaking transfer.
However, given how disastrous that move has turned out, Martinez may be put off moving to England.
If he was to join the Premier League however, Arsenal would appear to be the most likely destination, with the Gunners prioritising signing a striker in the summer and Martinez is viewed as a more affordable option ahead of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak.
In the meantime, the Argentine will be focusing on defending Inter’s title, with local rivals AC Milan two points ahead at the top of the table with only three games to go.
