Liverpool are considering selling this summer with talks over a new contract having reached deadlock.
The Reds officially parted company with this week after the Senegal international joined in a £27.4million transfer.
Mane had just under a year left on his Liverpool deal and with Salah in an almost identical contractual situation, the Reds are contemplating cashing in on their star forward rather than lose him for nothing next summer.
Salah is currently Liverpool’s top earner, along with , on around £240,000-a-week, but is said to want parity with the Premier League’s best paid players.
The former Roma and Chelsea winger has noted the salaries Chelsea and Manchester City offer their top earner and is eye a salary of around £400,000-a-week which would shatter Liverpool’s current wage structure.
Salah announced before last season’s Champions League final that he was certain to stay at Liverpool for another year, but the matter could be taken out of his own hands.
According to , Liverpool would give serious thought to selling the 30-year-old if Real Madrid were prepared to pay £60million.
Salah has flirted with the idea of playing in Spain before and after the Spanish champions missed out on Kylian Mbappe, they could be in the market for an A List signing this summer.
Liverpool’s owners, FSG, have already partly offset Mane’s departure by funding a move for club-record signing Darwin Nunez while they also moved swiftly to help seal the signing of Luis Diaz in January.
And while they would prefer to receive a fee for Salah, FSG are unwilling to countenance the prospect of selling Salah to a Premier League rival.
