Liverpool legend Graeme Souness is a big fan of two of the Reds’ signings, but is concerned that ’s team is still ‘not quite right’ despite the new arrivals.

The former Liverpool captain and manager is full of praise for and , with the former especially making an impressive impact at his new club after arriving during the transfer window.

However, the Scot is not convinced by another signing in Wataru Endo, who was a shock arrival late in the window from Stuttgart.

The Japan captain has been brought in to replace Fabinho in the holding midfield role after the Brazilian’s departure for Saudi Arabia. However, he certainly wasn’t first choice after failed moves for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

‘The fact they offered over £100m for Caicedo tells you he [Klopp] sees that area as it needs strengthening. ‘I would like to see them get another central defender as Matip can’t keep himself fit and another central midfielder. Endo, with the money they paid, would suggest he is a squad player.’
