Liverpool are preparing a €40 million (£34.4m) bid for winger Federico Chiesa, according to reports in Italy.
from Brighton this month but want to strengthen even further before the start of the new season.
Juventus, meanwhile, are open to selling Chiesa in order to bolster their financial situation, which will take a hit due to their lack of football next term.
Chiesa’s current deal with Juve is due to expire in 2025 and the Italian club are keen to receive a higher fee for the Italy international this summer, rather than be in a weaker negotiating position next year.
According to , Chiesa is not short of suitors and Liverpool are one of the frontrunners to sign the winger this summer.
The report claims that Liverpool are weighing up a €40m (£34.4m) offer, but Juve are holding out for a €60m (£51.5m) fee.
Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have also been keeping tabs on Chiesa’s situation at Juventus.
The report also claims that Chiesa’s ‘lacklustre’ relationship with Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri could also be a factor behind his decision to move clubs this summer.
Chiesa was sidelined for nearly 10 months last year with a cruciate ligament injury but made his return in November and went on to make 33 appearances for Juve, scoring four goals and registering six assists.
When asked about his future after scoring in Italy’s 3-2 win over the Netherlands on Sunday, Chiesa said: ‘I’m happy with how I finished, it was a really difficult year for me.
‘Now I’m only thinking about the holidays. Then from next season I’ll start preparing already from the summer training camp.
‘We’ll see. I’m at Juventus and I’m thinking about Juventus.’
