Liverpool star Fabio Carvalho is set to join Bundesliga club RB Leipzig on a season-long loan, according to reports.
The 20-year-old, under contract until 2027, joined Liverpool from Fulham last summer and has made 21 appearances for ’s side.
Carvalho scored in wins over AFC and as well as in a Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City.
He can be deployed in a number of positions including as a left winger, attacking midfielder or central midfielder.
Carvalho, who has four caps for Portugal U21s having represented England from U16 to U18 level, is now set to spend time away from Anfield to continue his development.
New indicate that Carvalho is on his way to Germany to complete his 12-month loan move after a full agreement was reached last week.
RB Leipzig, who finished third in the Bundesliga last season – five points behind champions Bayern Munich – do not have a buy option included in the deal.
Carvalho started his career in the youth ranks at Benfica before he moved to England and joined Fulham’s academy.
He made 44 appearances for the west Londoners, helping them the Championship title as he was named in the PFA’s Team of the Season.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are making changes to their squad following their disappointing 2022-23 campaign as they missed out on the top four.
