have moved a step closer to signing Napoli star Kim Min-jae after agreeing personal terms with the defender, according to reports in Italy.
The South Korea international has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford following his scintillating form for Napoli this term.
The 26-year-old only joined the club last summer in a £17m deal from Fenerbahce but his performances for Napoli, as well as his displays for South Korea at the , have thrust him into the limelight.
While Napoli are desperate to keep hold of the defender, a release clause in his contract means they’re powerless to stop him leaving.
For a two-week period in July, Kim Min-jae will be available for around £51m.
United are reportedly happy to pay that figure and are now reporting that personal terms have been agreed with Min-jae.
The defender stands to significantly increase his Napoli salary with a move to Old Trafford.
With Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe set to leave the club, Min-jae’s arrival raises further doubt about Harry Maguire’s future.
Erik ten Hag has demoted Maguire to fifth choice and the club will listen to offers for him this summer.
United paid £80m for Maguire in 2019, making him the most defender of all-time.
