However, the reports that Ten Hag has made Kane his priority target, while United’s CEO Richard Arnold has now given the green light for an £80m offer to be submitted.
The report claims that United are keen to complete the deal as quickly as possible and will open negotiations with Tottenham before the season is over.
Ten Hag is also said to believe that the signing of Kane this summer will make United contenders for the Premier League title next term.
Kane scored in England’s 2-0 victory over Ukraine on Sunday and speaking after the game, former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said the Tottenham striker has reached a crossroads in his career.
