Andre Onana was forced off in Cameroon’s World Cup qualifier against Mauritius

have been dealt another injury concern as was forced off during Cameroon’s qualifier on Friday night.

Goals from Bryan Mbeumo, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Frank Magri sealed the win over Mauritius, while Onana started in goal for Cameroon.

However, the Manchester United goalkeeper was unable to complete the game as he was forced off in the 81st minute.

Onana dived along the ground to see a shot go past the post but the 27-year-old appeared to injure his adductor muscle as he stretched out his leg.

United’s £47.2 million summer signing stayed on the turf and was treated by two of Cameroon’s medical team for four minutes.

Onana was helped to his feet but was able to walk back to the dugout without any further assistance and was not visibly limping.

Cameroon are due to play Libya on their next World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

United were also handed another injury scare on Friday night as Marcus Rashford was forced off during England’s 2-0 win over Malta .

Speaking after the game, England manager Gareth Southgate said: ‘I think he [Rashford] is probably okay.

‘We just thought given the nature of the collision and it was a chance to get Cole [Palmer] into the game.

‘I haven’t assessed too much but I think he was okay when he came off.’

United’s Premier League campaign resumes next Sunday when they play Everton at Goodison Park.
