Erik ten Hag is being urged to keep in his plans for next season.
Rashford, 24, has endured a difficult campaign, scoring just five goals this term after losing his place as a regular starter.
Incoming manager Ten Hag is looking to revamp the Red Devils’ squad after a poor season which has left the club outside the and five years without a trophy.
However, according to , Ten Hag has been told by staff at United not to let Rashford go this summer despite speculation the Englishman desires a fresh start away from Manchester.
The report goes on to say that figures at the club believe Rashford can come through his poor form and become a star again.
Rashford’s declining fortunes at Old Trafford have come as a surprise with the forward having emerged as one of United’s most important players in recent years.
In the two seasons prior to the current campaign, he scored 43 goals in all competitions.
However, injury problems and the added competition with the arrival of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund last summer appears to have knocked him out of his stride.
Rashford has just a year left on his contract and was linked with a move to Arsenal earlier this year.
But with the Gunners set to finish outside the top-four, it is unclear whether he would be interested in a move to the Emirates.
Meanwhile, United are set to release a host of stars this summer including Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard which may provide Rashford with more opportunities.
Since breaking into the first-team, he has made over 300 appearances for the Manchester giants and scored 93 goals.
