winger was labelled a ‘hooligan’ by one newspaper following ’s win at Old Trafford.
The Argentine was helpless to stop the Red Devils exiting the competition following a 1-0 defeat to the Germans at the Theatre of Dreams.
Garnacho was selected to start with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both ill but United registered just one shot on target against the Bundesliga champions.
One moment that got fans on their feet was Garnacho’s scuffle with goalscorer Kingsley Coman.
The Frenchman guided the ball out of play after Garnacho tried to beat him down the byline and a frustrated Garnacho wrestled with the winger.
Coman went flying into the advertising boards, which are inconveniently set at the end of a slope on the Old Trafford pitch.
Bayern’s players surrounded the referee after the incident as they begged for Garnacho to be sent off.
Garnacho escaped punishment from the referee but Bild – the biggest paper in Germany – gave the winger both barrells.
In their score system – which is rated best to worst from 1 to 6 – Garnacho was given a 4.
But worse was the fact he was labelled a ‘hooligan’ for clashing with Coman.
Harry Kane was praised for confronting Garnacho after the incident but he wasn’t the only United player to feel Bild’s wrath.
Rasmus Hojlund was the worst rated, with a rating of 5 – while Scott McTominay and Sofyan Amrabat received 4s.
