is ‘more than doubtful’ for ’s meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, confirms manager .

The England forward has picked up a ‘injury on his leg’ and is struggling to be fit for the 3pm kick-off at Old Trafford.

However, there is good news for the Red Devils that defender Raphael Varane is back from an ankle problem and is available to play his first Premier League match since early April.

‘Rapha Varane is back and Rashford is doubtful,’ Ten Hag told a press conference on Friday. ‘He has a problem, an injury on his leg, so he is a big question mark for tomorrow. But we are happy Rapha Varane is back.’

Asked how confident he is of Rashford recovering in time, the Dutchman said: ‘Doubtful, more than doubtful, big question mark.’

An option to replace Rashford could be Alejandro Garnacho, though, who has returned from injury after being on the bench against West Ham last week.

‘He has one more week training, definitely. Yeah, so he is available and we have seen he can bring something extra in the team,’ said Ten Hag of the Argentine winger.

Still out injured for Ten Hag’s side are the likes of Scott McTominay, Lisandro Martinez and Donny van de Beek, with the former hopeful of playing again before the end of the season, while the Argentina and Netherlands internationals are out for the campaign.

The Red Devils still have a top four finish in their own hands, although Liverpool are pressing hard on their heels after six straight victories.

Ten Hag is unconcerned by their threat, though, saying he is just focusing on getting the better of Wolves at Old Trafford on Saturday.

‘It’s clear, we know that, but it’s not important because we have everything in our hands,’ he said of the Liverpool threat.

‘We must bring our performance, then it’s not important. What is important is the opponent we face tomorrow: Wolves. We have to take them seriously. They have done a great job, focus on that but they also have deficits, take advantage of that.’
