says he’s ‘working hard’ to get back ‘as soon as possible’ after revealed the forward will miss the next few with a groin injury.
The forward limped out of United’s 2-0 win against Everton on Saturday after injuring his groin stretching for a through ball.
Rashford immediately signalled to the bench to come off, in an indication that the injury was a bad one.
Scan results showed Rashford had strained his groin and though United were unwilling to put a timescale on his absence, they said he will miss the ‘next few games’.
United face a hectic end to the season, with Erik ten Hag’s side competing in the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup across the next fortnight alone.
Rashford’s hit 28 goals this season and his absence is a major blow to United’s hopes of adding to their trophy cabinet before the season ends.
But Rashford has given a hopeful message to supporters by revealing he’s ‘working hard’ with the club’s physio to return ‘soon.
Responding to United’s tweet about his injury, Rashford said: ‘I’m working hard with the physio to get back asap!
‘See you soon.’
United take on Sevilla at Old Trafford tonight in the Europa League quater-final first leg.
Anthony martial is expected to make his first start since returning from injury.
It could be a front three of Antony, Martial and Jadon Sancho, though Wout Weghorst is also in contention.
