is believed to be open to working with at , but the forward must be keen to reintegrate into the squad at Stamford Bridge.
Lukaku has spent the season on loan at Inter Milan after a tumultuous 2021-22 campaign at Chelsea which saw him fall out with then manager and enrage Blues fans with a number of explosive interviews.
The Belgian has not had an amazing campaign, hampered by injury at times and he has only scored eight Serie A goals, however, it could end spectacularly with Inter in the Champions League final against either Manchester City or Real Madrid.
Talks will be held over his future after the Champions League final and report that it is far from clear which way they will go.
Lukaku will be asked whether he wants to return to west London and work with new manager Pochettino, but if he does not then it is not guaranteed that he will be able to stay at Inter.
It is likely the 30-year-old would prefer to remain in Milan, but Inter may not be able to afford the same deal that took him on loan this season, or be able to sign him permanently.
Micahel Yormark, president of Lukaku’s management Roc Nation Sports, admitted that it is unclear how talks will be resolved.
‘It’s too early to tell,’ he said. ‘Romelu is in the final of the Champions League. Once the season’s over, we’ll all sit down and assess where he is and what the opportunities are.
‘We’re just so thrilled that he’s healthy and that he’s playing well, and then we will decide all of this season after the season’s over.’
Lukaku himself has not given much away, telling DAZN last month: ‘We need to wait because the others are talking. I just have to give my best for Inter.’
