Liverpool manager has batted away rumours linking him with a bid for .
Haaland, 21, is said to be on the move from Borussia Dortmund in the summer with the likes of already sounding out a deal for the young starlet.
However, Klopp says Liverpool won’t be joining the race to sign the Norwegian due to the astronomical fees involved in securing his signature.
Speaking to the German outlet Bild, Klopp said: ‘We will not be going near there. The figures being mentioned out there are crazy.
‘We have nothing to do with them. No chance. That’s something I honestly don’t want. That’s no fun at all.’
It is reported that those clubs wanting to sign Haaland – whose transfer release clause is £63million – will have to cover his £25million-a-year salary as well stumping up fees of nearly £50million to his agent Mino Raiola and £25million to his father Alf-Inge.
Alf-Inge used to play for Man City which has many believing the Manchester club hold an advantage over those other teams queueing up to sign Haaland.
Last year, Liverpool captain Virgin van Dijk pointed out the striker’s characteristics and why they make him a world class player.
Speaking to Sky Sports Saturday Social, he said: ‘Haaland is a special striker…He’s so strong, he’s quick, he’s got all the attributes to make a defender’s life very difficult.
‘(It’s a) bit like how Jamie Vardy plays. The only thing I think Haaland has is maybe he’s a little bit stronger than Vardy but it could be very difficult to defend against.’
Haaland burst onto the scene in Germany in the 2019-20 season and has since scored 80 goals in 83 appearances for Dortmund.
