Paris Saint-Germain’s new signing Nordi Mukiele has revealed that he turned down a late approach from Chelsea.
Earlier this week, the French champions completed their €15 million (£12.6m) deal to sign the right-back from RB Leipzig.
The 24-year-old has spent the last four seasons in Germany and helped Leipzig win the DFB-Pokal in May.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have been linked with signing a new right-back to provide competition for Reece James.
And Mukiele was on Chelsea’s shortlist before PSG made their move this month.
When asked by L’Equipe if he was tempted by ’s late approach, Mukiele replied: ‘Honestly, no.
‘Once I’d given my word to Luis Campos… at no moment did I hesitate.
‘Luis Campos focused on the idea that I would be in a team where the collective is the most important thing.
‘He spoke to me about attitude, mentality, about these new things he wants to put into place.
‘He knows my mentality, I am a warrior, when I’m on the pitch I fight for everyone. That’s what I’m going to do here.’
