will depart with a hefty loyalty bonus worth millions.

On Wednesday, it was announced that the Frenchman would leave Old Trafford after his contract runs out at the end of June.

Pogba, who spent six years in Manchester, is said to be in talks with Paris Saint-Germain, and over a free transfer as he looks to relaunch his career.

However, according to, the 29-year-old will receive a loyalty payment of £3.75million upon leaving United despite being one of the club’s most disappointing signings.

Back in 2016, much excitement surrounded his return from Juventus in a deal worth close to £90m but he failed to achieve the success he was tipped for.

In his first season with the Red Devils, he won the Europa League and League Cup under Jose Mourinho.

But poor performances and ongoing transfer speculation saw Pogba’s trophy haul end there as his United career entered a downward spiral.

The nadir came last season when the 29-year-old was booed off the pitch by the home fans at Old Trafford following a 3-2 home victory over Norwich City.

Meanwhile, he lost his place as a regular starter, making just 20 appearances in the league last term.

In a statement on the club’s website, United said: ‘The club can announce that Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United at the end of June, upon the expiry of his contract.

‘The Frenchman has enjoyed a long association with United, having joined the club’s Academy from Le Havre at the age of just 16.’

Pogba, whose last game for the club was a 4-0 defeat to Liverpool in April, responded via Twitter.

He said: ‘I feel privileged to have played for this club. Many beautiful moments and memories but most importantly an unconditional support from the fans. Thank you @ManUtd.’

In all, Pogba made 226 appearances for United and scored 39 goals.
