Paul Scholes labels Manchester United ‘weird’ after beating Luton Town

The Red Devils made it four wins on the bounce with a 2-1 victory against Rob Edwards’ side.

United raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from and they had opportunities to put the game to bed with a third and fourth goal.

However, Carlton Morris halved the deficit after 15 minutes and the Hatters dominated the rest of the half.

Luton managed 22 shots during the match, and had 59% possession.

But United missed several gilt-edged chances, with Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes, Hojlund and Marcus Rashford all guilty of squandering big opportunities.

United are just three points behind Tottenham, but their win against Luton meant they earned a positive goal difference for the first time since mid-August.

And Scholes says his former side are ‘weird’ as it’s impossible to summarise their performances.

‘Weird team Utd…reckon they could be the only team that could win 5 nil and get hammered,’ said Scholes.
