legend Paul Scholes has mocked new boss Erik ten Hag and his new five strict rules for players.
Former head coach Ten Hag took over at United this summer after a disastrous season under and last term, with the club finishing in sixth place and once again failing to land a trophy.
Ten Hag is yet to take charge of a competitive game but already has a lot of work to do, with several high-profile players departing Old Trafford in recent weeks, including Paul Pogba, and .
The Dutchman has already laid out a number of new rules for his squad, according to the , which include a ban on alcohol during a match-week and also a ban on personal chefs.
A third rule is that he will drop any player who is late to training or team meetings without exception, while he will keep a close eye over his squad’s weight and is set to implement weekly BMI checks to make sure his players are in shape.
The fifth rule – and perhaps the biggest – is that all player grievances must be run past him and his United squad are not allowed to talk to agents or other sources when they are unhappy.
United hero Scholes, who won the Premier League 11 times, FA Cup three times and Champions League twice at Old Trafford, offered his opinion on the new rules via social media.
He posted an Instagram story of the article with a shrugging emoji and the caption: ‘Not sure I would’ve coped without my personal chef and no agent to moan to.’
