boss plans on leaving the club at the end of his contract in 2025.
The Spaniard has spent the last seven years at the Etihad, spearheading a period of dominance for City.
Until last Saturday, that dominance had come on home soil but City’s victory against Inter Milan in Istanbul crowned them kings of Europe for the first time in their history.
Guardiola had already committed to a further two years at the club earlier this season.
City, of course, want to keep Guardiola for as long as possible and would have happily given him a longer deal.
However, the Guardian report that Guardiola intends on walking away from the club in 2025 when his contract expires.
Having coached in Spain, Germany and now England, Guardiola had been expected to join an Italian side once he leaves the Premier League.
However, there is now a strong chance that he will join an international side in 2025, ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
