Florentino Perez has distanced from a fresh move for Kylian Mbappe despite the Paris Saint-Germain superstar once again wanting to leave the club.

There were widespread reports in France last week that the 23-year-old was fed up with life at PSG and wanted to secure a move to either Real Madrid – who thought they had wrapped up a deal earlier this year – or Liverpool.

Mbappe is believed to feel ‘betrayed’ over a number of broken promises from the club’s hierarchy over both the summer signings that were made and his role in the team –.

The France international’s previous contract was due to expire at the end of last season and Real were convinced they had secured his signature only for an eleventh-hour U-turn.

Instead, Mbappe penned an extension with PSG that is believed to have made him the highest-paid player in the world, leaving Real – who had devoted an enormous amount of time to wooing the forward – absolutely seething.

At the time, Real president Perez is believed to have sent a furious message to Mbappe, while he said the forward when asked about him after the Champions League final.

On Monday evening, both Perez and Mbappe were in the French capital for the Ballon d’Or ceremony and the Real Madrid chief was inevitably asked about the fresh rumours surrounding the Frenchman – though once again distanced himself from making a move.

As quoted by RMC Sport, Perez said: ‘It’s not that I’m bored of stories about Mbappe, it’s that I don’t even read them anymore.

‘We have an extraordinary future ahead of us. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are real stars. I see them as future Ballon d’Or winners.’

According to , Perez and Real’s delegation at the Ballon d’Or ceremony did not interact with Mbappe or his entourage at all on Monday night.

The charm offensive Real had put so much effort into over the past few years was replaced by ‘coldness and distance’ and Perez is said to have firmly put the idea of signing Mbappe to bed, not wanting to have his fingers burned again.

Reacting to the sudden speculation surrounding his future, Mbappe said this weekend: ‘I’m very happy. I never asked for my departure in January.

‘I was just as shocked as everyone else. There are people who may think I’m involved in this, but I’m not involved, I was taking a nap.’
