Real Sociedad have made an enquiry to take Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney on loan for the season, according to reports.
The Scotland international was first choice in his position when he arrived from Celtic in 2019 but injuries have cost him and he has fallen down the pecking order.
was Mikel Arteta’s first choice at left-back last season and has arrived from this summer and started in the role in the Community Shield win at the weekend.
Tierney did make 27 appearances last season, but just six of those came in the starting XI and his opportunities could be even more limited in the campaign to come.
Real Sociedad are hoping to pounce on the situation, with reporting that they have enquired over a season-long loan for the 26-year-old.
A fourth place finish in La Liga last season saw Real Sociedad qualify for the Champions League, so it could be an attractive proposal for Tierney, if he is promised more regular football in northern Spain than he would be in north London.
The La Liga side have also been linked with a move for Manchester United flop Donny van de Beek who is looking for an escape route from his disastrous spell at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman could also move on loan, with negotiations ongoing between the clubs, but United would prefer a permanent transfer as they look to raise funds for more deals this summer.
