Romeo Beckham is training with Brentford B after his season with Inter Miami II came to an end.

The 20-year-old is still under contract with the reserve team of his father David’s club, but is keeping sharp and continuing his development with the Bees’ b team during his break.

Inter Miami II, formerly known as Fort Lauderdale, play in Major League Soccer Next Pro which is a lower tier division for the reserve sides of MLS clubs.

Beckham is yet to make his senior Inter Miami debut, with ’s side improving impressively of late, with four wins on the spin booking their spot in the MLS Cup Playoffs.

Neville has always insisted that Romeo would get no special treatment in Miami, despite his dad owning the club, in fact he would be treated more harshly if anything.

‘The first thing that David said to me was, “You have got to be harder on him than anyone else,”’ Neville said last year. ‘He has got to work harder than anyone else to get into that team because there will be questions, there will be expectations on his shoulders.’

Romeo has impressed with Inter Miami II, though, with manager Darren Powell saying earlier this year: ‘I don’t like singling out individual players, but Romeo is improving a lot.

‘What you find is a young man that comes and is committed to getting better every day, and now you’re seeing some of the benefits of that work.

‘When you work hard daily in training and you work at your game and you progress going forward, which is what obviously his ambition is to do, you’re going to see that. Just really pleased with him. I’m really pleased with the whole group.’
