has passed his medical and could make his debut for the club on Sunday.
The Belgian midfielder was at Chelsea’s training ground on Wednesday to complete a medical at Cobham.
It’s after the Blues agreed a £58million deal with Southampton for the 21-year-old.
Lavia had been the subject of three bids from Liverpool before Chelsea agreed a deal for the former ace.
Liverpool eventually matched Chelsea’s £58m offer, which the Saints accepted.
However, Lavia felt he was ‘second choice’ for Jurgen Klopp and was bemused by Liverpool’s handling of the situation.
The Belgian opted to join Chelsea instead, just like Brighton star Moises Caicedo.
Liverpool had a £111m bid accepted by Brighton for the Ecuador ace but he informed the Reds he wanted to move to Stamford Bridge instead.
Now Lavia could line-up alongside Caicedo for the pair’s debut for the club on Sunday when Chelsea travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham.
Chelsea must register Lavia before Friday lunchtime but they are on course to do so.
