Ryan Babel has warned Cody Gapko a move to may not be the right fit for him, encouraging him to join Arsenal instead.

‘Just looking from the outside, I personally don’t know if United’s would be the right team for Cody Gakpo,’ Babel told .

‘I think a team like Arsenal – or even Liverpool, but I think Arsenal would suit his playing style the best and would be the best project for him.

‘All young players, no real star standing out – a good young coach who has been a football player himself.

‘I think the environment at United at the moment is a little bit tense and just different and that could have an influence if he goes.

‘But again, this is me judging from the outside and based on what I know, from being in the Premier League.

‘Players have to make their own decision but Arsenal could be a great fit for him.’

Gakpo will have the opportunity to further enhance his reputation when Netherlands take on Argentina in their World Cup quarter-final showdown on Friday evening.
